Maryann is an extraordinary individual! She is a registered nurse,  a clinical site instructor at the University of Minnesota school of Nursing, a block nurse and a healthcare coordinator. She is experienced in hospice and home care work. She has strong communication skills and is trained as a CPR first responder. Her passion for cultural diversity and understanding are put to good use in teaching cultural diversity nursing courses, and her talent and commitment have helped to develop strong community relations as well as collaborations among multiple community leaders.

Maryann has many proud accomplishments. She has 3 children and 7 grandchildren and has been a public nurse for 36 years. She is a teaching specialist for the University of Minnesota’s “Thinking Outside the Box” program and a holistic healer and pipe carrier in the Native American tradition who has been practicing kofutu, massage, herbology, reflexology, and Qigong for a combined total of 25 years. She is also the co-creator 4 wellness clinics in East. St. Paul, MN.
